Certified Professional Manager™ (CPM)

Who may be certified?
Any person may apply for credentials as a Certified Professional Manager (CPM). However, he or she must be able to meet the Standard Criteria for education and experience set by the CCPC Examining Board.Experience Required
The CCPC has set the following standards for the Experience part of the certification process:- Experience is defined as supervised managerial work working directly with staff.
- Formal education or unsupervised work experience may NOT be substituted for the experience requirement. All experience must be documented.
- The applicant must have the equivalent of 4000 hours of full time managerial work experience in addition to course work placement.
Education Required
The CCPC has set the following standards for the Education part of the certification process: Education is defined as formal classroom education (workshops, seminars, institutes, in-services, and college or university work) in the Management field. Education must be related to the base of knowledge and skills associated with the Core Competencies listed below. A Business Administration degree is required or general degree with adequate add-on education related to the base of knowledge and skills associated with the Professional Manager Core Competencies. All education must be documented with transcripts included. After a person has been certified, it is expected that they will continue to attend workshops, seminars, and courses to keep abreast with new developments and maintain a high standard of professional competence in the management field.Core Competencies
There are a number of basic Core Competencies which are required. The CCPC expects that these Core Competencies will be the minimum requirements for certification. The hours can be earned through CSPN approved continuing education programs, conferences and events. One may also submit employer held webinars, and online courses, self-directed learning, PD Workshops, research and reading, etc.
- By completing PD hours, certified members reinforce their existing skills and build new skills, while being exposed to up-to-date information relevant to the customer service profession.
- You must keep a record of your hours and submit your hours with your renewal form every 2 years.

Purpose of Certification
The purpose of Certification as a Solution-Focused Coach is to recognize those who have acquired an acceptable standard of training, skills, and effectiveness as a Coach. Our focus is:- To provide the avenue for qualified persons who have studied, worked and developed skills in the solution-focused practice and coaching to receive professional recognition.
- To provide the public with the confidence that Solution-Focused Coach has attained an acceptable level of competency.
- To provide Certified Solution-Focused Coach with encouragement for continual awareness, education, and professional development.
Who May Be Certified?
Any person may apply for credentials as a Certified Solution-Focused Coach as long as s/he meets the “Standards Criteria” set by the CCPC Examining Board. Each applicant must fulfill the following requirements:- Education/Training Requirement:
Completion of Solution Focused Coaching Specific Training from the accredited programs that include:
- minimum 60 hours of coach specific training, and
- completion of Coaching Masterclass/Clinical Case Presentation (12 hours) including a 2 Performance Evaluation
- Practice Requirements:
- minimum 125 hours of solution-focused specific coaching practice
- Supervision/Mentorship Requirements:
- minimum of 10 one hour supervision sessions with an approved CCPC Supervisor, Consultant or Mentor
- at least 4 hours of the 10 hours must be one-on-one supervision
- Personal Background Information:
- Current C.V.
- Canadian Applicants are asked to submit a reflective essay on your personal philosophy of coaching practice (500-750 words)
Criteria for Eligibility
The basic requirements for the CSFC consist of a relevant basic/undergraduate degree, coaching training specific to solution focused coaching, practice hours, supervision and full membership in a coaching professional organization (where applicable) that has a code of ethics and standards of professional practice.Solution Focused Coaching Practice Requirements Explained (125 hours)
Each applicant must complete a minimum 125 hours of coaching practice. The practice requirements can include supervised experience, reflective practice, clients or peer coaching, case conference or observational learning. At least 75 hours must be paid coaching hours where the candidate works face-to-face with clients (individual or group) and a minimum of 8 different clients.Supervision/Mentorship Requirements Explained (10 hours)
The purpose of this Supervision/Mentor Requirement is for the candidate to further develop and refine their coaching dexterity necessary to be more responsive and client-centered in various coaching situations. CCPC expects a high standard of practice from their Certified Solution Focused Coaches. The Code of Ethics sets out the essential elements of sound professional practice. Annual Renewal Requirements
To keep your certification in good standing, CCPC recommends you complete a minimum of 10 hours of Continuing Education Units related to the practice of solution-focused coaching every year. Certification for CSF is authorized by CCPC Global. Certified Solution-Focused Practitioner (CSFP)
For Therapists and practitioner, he or she must be able to meet the “Standards Criteria” set by the CCPC Examining Board.Those wishing to be certified as a Certified Solution-Focused Therapist (CSFT) or Certified Solution-Focused Practitioner (CSFP) will provide information to the CCPC showing their education, supervised experience and, dedicated training in the field of Solution-Focused practice.
The application and documentation will be screened for eligibility for certification by an Evaluator and then scrutinized by the CCPC Board of Examiners. The Certified Solution-Focused designations CSFT and CSFP are professional designations entitling the owner to affix the letters after his/her name.General Requirements
Any person may apply for credentials as a Certified Solution-Focused Therapist or Practitioner. However, he or she must be able to meet the “Standards Criteria” set by the CCPC Examining Board. The application process provides the opportunity for the applicant to demonstrate adequate skill, knowledge, and competence.Purpose of Certification
The purpose of Certification as a Solution-Focused Therapist or Practitioner is to recognize, by way of the certification process, those who have acquired an acceptable standard of training, skills, and effectiveness as a Therapist or Practitioner. The CCPC encourages everyone having the required qualification to apply regardless of age, race, nationality, sex, or disability. Our focus is:- To provide the avenue for qualified persons who have studied, worked and developed skills in the solution-focused practice to receive professional recognition.
- To provide the public with the confidence that Solution-Focused Specialists have attained an acceptable level of competency.
- To provide Certified Solution-Focused Specialists with encouragement for continual awareness, education, and professional development.
Who may be certified?
Each applicant must provide written documentation you have received 72 hours of training (the equivalent of 12 days including the Clinical Case Presentation / Coaching Master Class workshop) and a minimum of fifteen (15) one hour individual supervision sessions (or equivalent time if conducted in small group format) endorsed by an approved CCPC Supervisor or Consultant. We highly support having liability insurance and/or full membership, in good standing, in a recognized professional association or college.Experience Required
CSF Practical Experience Each applicant must complete 125 hours of practical experience which can include supervised experience, reflective practice, clients or peer coaching, case conference or observational learning. Please complete the relevant section on the application form to show how you completed this requirement.Education Required
Candidates for the Certified Therapist or Practitioner credential are required to possess a recognized graduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field with appropriate clinical and / or professional training. Certified Solution-Focused Therapist (CSFT) The CSFT (Therapist) designation is directed at mental health professionals, and is restricted to those who have relevant graduate degrees (e.g., MA, MEd, MSW, PhD), the required SF training, supervised clinical experience which can be shown on the application form or CV. A full membership in a mental health professional organization that has a code of ethics and standards of professional practice is highly sought. Certified Solution-Focused Practitioner (CSFP) The CSFP (Practitioner) designation is intended to meet the needs of healthcare providers, teachers, and other helping professionals. The basic requirements for the CSFP vary according to the profession, but usually consist of a relevant undergraduate degree or professional designation (e.g., RN, BEd, RT), required SF training, related work experience which can be shown on the application form or CV. Full membership in a professional organization that has a code of ethics and standards of professional practice is highly recommended. CSF Training Each applicant must provide written documentation you have received 72 hours of training (the equivalent of twelve (12) days including the Clinical Case Presentation / Coaching Master Class workshop) and a minimum of fifteen (15) one hour individual supervision sessions (or equivalent time if conducted in small group format) endorsed by an approved CCPC Supervisor or Consultant. For a list of supervisors, click here Supervision Guidelines – Please share with your Supervisor The purpose of this Supervision Evaluation Requirement is for the candidate to develop and refine the clinical skills and knowledge necessary to conduct solution-focused interviews with a variety of client problems and situations. Fifteen (15) one hour supervised sessions are required and is only a minimum. These may be extended if the supervisor believes more time is needed.Professional Responsibilities
The CCPC expects a high standard of practice from their Certified Solution Focused Therapists and Practitioners. This Code of Ethics sets out the essential elements of sound professional practice. Certified Solution Focused Therapists and Practitioners must commit to the following:- Uphold the standards of ethical conduct that reflect well on themselves as well as the profession at large.
- Represent themselves professionally and be aware of their own competencies, experience, belief systems, values, and needs and the effect these have on their work and the impact these might have on their clients.
- Required to be sensitive to the possibility that some clients will require other forms of support (e.g. counselling, therapy, etc) and therefore be prepared to refer clients to other appropriate services.
- Responsible for creating clear agreements and contracts with clients in respect of terms and conditions, confidentiality, costs, frequency of Solution Focused sessions, etc. and will honour all agreements made in the context of professional coaching relationships.
- Be sensitive to issues of culture, religion, age, gender, and race and treat clients with dignity and respect.
- Respect the client’s right to terminate the session at any point during the Solution Focused process.
- Required to monitor their quality of work and maintain accurate records of their work with clients.
- Required to undertake a minimum of 10 hours of continuing professional development, including supervision or mentoring in Solution Focused practice on an annual basis.
- Required to have professional liability insurance where it’s appropriate in their country of work.
- Required to keep themselves informed of any statutory or legal requirements that may affect their work.

These professional people realize that chemical addiction leads to a degenerate state affecting the physical, social, spiritual, and psychological condition of a person. CCPC Global provides the opportunity for all competent workers in the field of addiction and related fields, to be certified and recognized as Professional Addiction/Gambling Counsellors and Supervisors.General Requirements
The counsellor should have the knowledge and skill required to draw from counselling styles and techniques that are backed by an evidence-base. It should include an understanding of human development and an understanding of a wide range of approaches, skills, and practices relating to the treatment of alcohol and other drugs. The purpose of Certification for the Certified Addiction Counsellor II (CAC II) is to recognize, by way of the certification process, those who have acquired an acceptable level of training, skills, and effectiveness as an Addiction Counsellor. The focus is:- To provide the avenue for qualified persons who have studied, worked, and developed skills in the addiction field to receive professional recognition.
- To provide the public with confidence that Addiction Counsellors have obtained an acceptable level of competency.
- To provide Certified Counsellors with encouragement for continual education and professional development.
Who may be certified?
Any person may apply for credentials as a Certified Addiction Counsellor ll (CAC ll). However, he or she must be able to meet the Standards Criteria for education and experience set by the CCPC Examining Board. The application process provides the opportunity for the applicant to demonstrate adequate skill, knowledge, and competence as an addiction counsellor. The CCPC encourages everyone having the required qualifications to apply regardless of age, race, nationality, religion, sex, or disability.Experience Required
Experience is defined as supervised work, paid or voluntary, working directly with clients who have a primary problem of alcoholism and/or drug addiction. The applicant must have the equivalent of 4000 hours of work experience providing direct, supervised counselling services. Full time University or Community College students in Addiction Studies would be eligible, with 3000 hours of experience. Volunteer, part-time or placement hours may be acceptable providing it was under direct supervision. Actual time spent in a supervised alcoholism or drug addiction internship or in a human service setting may be applied toward a maximum of 1000 hours of the requirement.Education Required
Education is defined as formal classroom education (workshops, seminars, institutes, in-services and college or university work) in the addiction field. Education must be related to the base of knowledge and skills associated with the Core Competencies listed below. All education must be documented. An applicant applying for certification must have a minimum of 200 documented hours of education. This education must cover all Core Competencies. On the application form, applicants must indicate where their education has covered each area below. Copies of transcripts, certificates and diplomas of all completed courses relevant to the core competencies must be submitted with the application. After a person has been certified, it is expected that they will continue to attend workshops, seminars, and courses to keep abreast with new developments and maintain a high standard of professional competence in the addiction field.Core Competencies

This designation is geared to those new to the addictions field such as an interning or recently graduated student or counsellors in training. These applicants will have completed a minimum 100 hours of core competency training and 500 hours of supervised counselling experience. It is the expectation that each will continue to work towards the educational requirements and experience of a full CAC II. This is not a full level certification.General Requirements

The applicant must have a minimum of 500 hours practical experience in the addiction field providing direct, supervised counselling services to clients working at the Core Competencies stage of a counsellor. Volunteer, part-time or placement hours may be acceptable providing it was under direct supervision. Actual time spent in a supervised alcoholism or drug addiction internship or in a human service setting may be applied toward your required hours.Education Required

We highly support having liability insurance and/or full membership, in good standing, in a recognized professional association or college.Experience Required
CSF Practical Experience Each applicant must complete 125 hours of practical experience which can include supervised experience, reflective practice, clients or peer coaching, case conference or observational learning. Candidates for the Certified Therapist or Practitioner credential are required to possess a recognized graduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field with appropriate clinical and / or professional training. Certified Solution-Focused Therapist (CSFT) The CSFT (Therapist) designation is directed at mental health professionals, and is restricted to those who have relevant graduate degrees (e.g., MA, MEd, MSW, PhD), the required SF training, supervised clinical experience which can be shown on the application form or CV. The CCPC expects a high standard of practice from their Certified Solution Focused Therapists and Practitioners. This Code of Ethics sets out the essential elements of sound professional practice. Certified Solution Focused Therapists and Practitioners must commit to the following:- Uphold the standards of ethical conduct that reflect well on themselves as well as the profession at large.
- Represent themselves professionally and be aware of their own competencies, experience, belief systems, values, and needs and the effect these have on their work and the impact these might have on their clients.
- Required to be sensitive to the possibility that some clients will require other forms of support (e.g. counselling, therapy, etc) and therefore be prepared to refer clients to other appropriate services.
- Responsible for creating clear agreements and contracts with clients in respect of terms and conditions, confidentiality, costs, frequency of Solution Focused sessions, etc. and will honour all agreements made in the context of professional coaching relationships.
- Be sensitive to issues of culture, religion, age, gender, and race and treat clients with dignity and respect.
- Respect the client’s right to terminate the session at any point during the Solution Focused process.
- Required to monitor their quality of work and maintain accurate records of their work with clients.
- Required to undertake a minimum of 10 hours of continuing professional development, including supervision or mentoring in Solution Focused practice on an annual basis.
- Required to have professional liability insurance where it’s appropriate in their country of work.
- Required to keep themselves informed of any statutory or legal requirements that may affect their work.

Purpose of Certification
The purpose of certification for the Nutrition Manager is to recognize those who have acquired an advanced level of training, skills, work experience, and effectiveness as a Nutrition Manager. CCPC Global issues professional credentials to those who qualify in their respective field. The CCPC is the has entered into an agreement with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management to be the third party examiner for the certification of the CSNM membership. The Certified Nutrition Manager (CNM) certificate will be issued to those who apply and are approved by the CCPC examining Board. The focus is:- To provide an avenue for CSNM members who have studied, worked, and developed skills in the nutrition management field to receive professional recognition.

Those applying for certification, by way of holding a CSNM membership, signifies then have met the education requirement for certification, defined as:- Having graduated from a CSNM Accredited College Program in Food Service and Nutrition Management as listed on the CSNM website.
- Or having graduated from another post secondary program which has been demonstrated to contain essential elements of Food Service and Nutrition Management.
Continuing Education (CE) Points
As part of holding a CSNM membership one is required to achieve 8 CE points in the 8 core competency areas. When becoming a CNM this requirement increases to 16 CE points annually. Experience Required
The CNM applicant must have the equivalent of 4000 hours paid work experience. All experience must be documented and accumulated while holding an active CSNM membership. Experience is described as work done at a professional level in the field of nutrition management. A Nutrition Manager is a multi-skilled technically competent practitioner and may hold titles like Nutrition Manager – Food Service Manager – Dietary / Dietetic – Supervisor, Technologist, Technician or Hospitality Food Services Manager. The role of the Nutrition Manager is to incorporate knowledge and skills in coordinating and managing operations of the Food / Nutrition Services Department, enabling management to meet and maintain the prime goal of quality, cost effective nutrition services. This person may have direct responsibility for the total or partial food service operation, responsible to the Department Head or Administrator. Supervisor Evaluation

Any person may apply for credentials as a Certified Community Service Worker (CCSW). However, he or she must be able to meet the “Standards Criteria” set by the CCPC Examining Board. Applicants will provide direct supervised counselling services to persons receiving support from a Community Service Organization. Field placement, volunteer, part-time or replacement hours may be acceptable providing it was under direct supervision. The CCPC has set the following standards for the Education part of the certification process. Education is defined as formal classroom education in the Human Service Field. Education must be related to the base of knowledge and skills associated with the Community Service Workers Core Competencies. All education must be documented and the student must have achieved a 65% to 70% average (where applicable). An applicant applying for certification must have a minimum of 800 documented hours of education. This education must cover all Core Competencies. After a person has been certified, it is expected that they will continue to attend workshops, seminars and courses to keep abreast with new developments, and maintain a high standard of professional competence in the Human Service field. On the application form, applicants must break out how they have attained their required hours.Core Competencies
There are a number of basic Core Competencies which are required. It should include an understanding of human development and an understanding of a wide range of approaches, skills and practices relating to the field of social services. 8) Case Management Knowledge and skill is required to advocate on behalf of and guide the client through the barriers to service by coordinating and evaluating services available. The applicant must provide written documentation that you have received supervision in spiritual direction for a minimum of 12 months.General Requirements
Those wishing to be certified and requesting the designation of Certified Spiritual Director (CSD) will provide information to the CCPC indicating their education, supervised experience and specialized training in the field of Christian Spiritual Direction. Copies of documentation of the above are required and will be kept on file at the CCPC office; they will not be returned. The application and documentation will first be screened for eligibility for certification by an Evaluator, and then scrutinized by the Board of Examiners of the CCPC. Education must be related to the base of knowledge and skills associated with the core functions. All education must be documented. An applicant applying for certification must have a master’s degree from a recognized accredited institution with a focus in biblical, theological studies and a minimum of six courses in spirituality. The Purpose of Certification for the Spiritual Director Supervisor is to recognize, by way of the certification process, those who have acquired an acceptable standard of training, skills, and effectiveness as a Spiritual Director Supervisor. CCPC Global extends professional credentials (CSDS) to individuals indicating the minimum skill level reached. CCPC encourages everyone having the required qualifications to apply regardless of age, race, nationality, sex or handicap. Our focus is:- To provide the avenue for qualified persons who have studied, worked and developed skills in the field of supervision of spiritual direction to receive professional recognition.
- To provide the public with the confidence that Spiritual Director Supervisors have attained an acceptable level of competency.
- To provide Certified Spiritual Director Supervisors with encouragement for continual spiritual awareness, education and professional development.
Who may be certified?
Any person may apply for credentials as a Certified Spiritual Director Supervisor (CSDS). However, he or she must be able to meet the “Standards Criteria” set by the CCPC Examining Board. The application process provides the opportunity for the applicant to demonstrate adequate skill, knowledge and competence as a Spiritual Director Supervisor.Education Required
CCPC Global has set the following standards for the Education part of the certification process:- A minimum of two years of CSD registration by CCPC
- Each candidate will supervise six Spiritual Direction practicum students for a total of thirty six hours.
- Each candidate will meet for Group or One-to-One Supervision with their supervisor for a total of twelve hours.
- Each candidate will complete an approved / accredited Supervision course, namely two one day supervision seminars.
Core Competencies
There are several complex functions that a supervisor has to combine in their role. The following list is seen as the primary foci in supervision:- To provide regular space for the supervisees to reflect upon the content and process of the work
- To develop and understand the skills within the work.
- To give information and another’s perspective concerning one’s work.
- To validate and support the supervisee both as a person and as a supervisor.
- To be able to provide space to explore and express personal distress, transference or countertransference that may be brought up in the supervision.
- To plan and utilize their personal and professional resources better.
- To be proactive rather than reactive.
- To ensure quality of supervision.

CCPC Global expects its applicants to:- Adhere to the established code of ethics to preserve a high standard of professionalism and to secure the client’s best interest.
- Maintain federal, provincial and agency regulations concerning confidentiality by following proper procedures to preserve the client’s rights.
- Identify the importance of the diversity of clients by attaining knowledge about character, cultures, lifestyles, and other elements that are dominant to a client’s behaviour, in order to advise services that are sensitive to the client.
- Set up and maintain a program of self-assessment of professional conduct (strength and weakness) using ethical and legal standards.
- Continue the process of professional growth and development by assessing one’s training needs and attaining the necessary education.

When a person applies for credentials as a Certified Spiritual Director Supervisor, we the Examining Board of the CCPC, seek to determine his or her competence, moral/ethical character and knowledge by authentication from various sources. We consider your comments very important, because of your first-hand observation of the applicant’s skills, knowledge and moral/ethical standard. Keep a Record of your Application
It is recommended that all applicants maintain a personal file for their records. This file should contain copies of all of the following documents: the completed application; all past and current training-related transcripts, diplomas, and certificates; and a record of hours worked both in education and training and in work experience. The CCPC has set the following Education standards for the CTPS certification process. An applicant applying for certification must have a master’s degree from a recognized accredited institution with a focus in biblical, theological studies and a minimum of six courses in thanatology.Experience Required
The applicant must complete a minimum 260-hour internship that is approved by your academic institution. At the end of the internship period, the applicant’s supervisor is asked to complete a Supervisors Evaluation and Endorsement Form accompanied by a letter on official stationery.Professional Responsibilities

Applicants are asked to obtain two letters of reference from qualified professionals indicating the applicant’s personal integrity and suitability. All references are treated with STRICT PROFESSIONAL CONFIDENTIALITY. All references are for the purpose of assisting the CCPC Examining Board to make a fair and complete evaluation of the competency of the applicant. The written references should include the following information as well as a recommendation for or against the candidate’s certification. How does the applicant demonstrate sensitivity toward others particularly those who are grieving?- How has the applicant demonstrated reliability in carrying out their responsibilities in their ministry setting?
- Does the applicant have an acceptable level of competency in the field of thanatology?
- Give examples of the applicant’s ability to work with others.
- Comment on the communication skills of the applicant.
- Comment on the applicant’s ethical (professional/personal) conduct.
