Nobody grieves in a straight line.
1 in 10 is not a small number. It is a person in every classroom, every team, every extended family.
Around 1 in 10 people who lose someone go on to develop prolonged grief, the kind that does not ease with time and quietly reshapes daily life. After a sudden or violent loss, that figure climbs toward 1 in 2.
Most of them will be told to give it time. Very few will find a counsellor actually trained to help them through it.
That is the gap. And it is one you can fill. Be the one who supports people through one of the toughest journeys life asks of them: the journey of grief.
